Decorated with 3 border vignettes, including 19 town plans and depicting Bombay, Fort Calcutta, Pondicheri, Madras with fort St.George, Tringmalet, Negapatan, Tranquenbar, Goudelour, Trichnapaly, Divicote with the Pagode of Chalenbron, Fort d'Arcate, Schinglepet, Caranqouli, Vandavachi, Pondamalet, Gingy, Mazulipatam, Visigapatam, etc.. Each city plan is indicated to which colonies it belonged: French, English, Danish or Dutch.
The map is very detailed , giving hundreds of place names, and locations and dates of battles during the years 1752 - 1759.
After the Seven Years War and the Treaty of Paris, England returns 5 counties to France : Pondichéry, Yanaon, Chandernagor, Karikal et Mahé. But the competition between French en English for commercial hegemony prevails.
