Description
In the center of the map are large caricatures of Ronald Reagan, dressed as a cowboy and standing in an oversized California, and Leonid Brezhnev. Both leaders eye one another suspiciously while standing ready to pull their guns out of their holsters.
The map gives an unfavorable view of nearly every friend and foe of the United States, as well as of citizens of the United States itself.
Canada is "Acidrainia (a subsidiary of USA Corp.);" Britain is noted as a "Reaganomics prototype;" western Europe is labeled "socialists and pacifist wimps;" and Australia is simply identified as "kangaroos."
This is the first of two Reagan's World maps, the second, much more common edition, published in 1987, showing different political humor.

David Horsey was an illustrator working for the Seattle Post Intelligencer. He has won two Pulitzer prizes for his work.
