Description
The map is placed within an engraved table case clock, which is surrounded by explanatory text of using time to determine longitude in German and in Dutch. Refers also to seasons and the date line when ships sail around the world. Published during the era of Harrisson and his first reliable clocks for traveling. This is the very rare first edition ,with parallel German and Dutch engraved text ! Later issued by Homann in German language only.
