Variant of Pastoureau, Duval VI C and VII C :
VI C : Map [13] is not double page, map [23] without added illustration.
VII C : Map [7] not double page, map [13] present, map [22] with "Avec privilège de sa Majesté" but no additional illustration in the title.
Similar to the atlas "Cartes Pour les Itinéraires…" and the atlas "Cartes géographiques …" complete with "Chronologie".
The third part contains an arbitrary collection of maps of various voyages and travels to all parts of the world. The map "la Floride françoise" (first state) records the French attempts at colonising the south-east under the command of Ribaut and Laudonière in the 1560s. "La France antarctique, autrement le Rio Janeiro" (after Villegagnon and Jean de Leri), "Chemin de Moscovie au Cathai", and "carte du voyage de Moscovie selon la Relation d'Olearius", "Carte du voyage des Ambassadeurs de la Compagnie Orientale des Provinces Unies, vers le Tartare Empereur de Chine… "(after Jean Nieuhoff) showing China, Korea and Formosa, among other maps showing the important voyages.
There are three editions of the book : 1665, 1677 and without date. This one not dated (ca. 1669).
