Description
Decorated with to the left and right on each side eight coats of arms of the various local governors: On the left side coat of arms of: Daniel Baert, Iohan Baert, Adr. Corn Queldam, Man van Berchem (Hoofdingeland), Men Berghem (hoofdingeland), etc.
On the right side coat of arms of: Mr. Daniel Baert (Baljuw en Dijkgraaf), M. Emanuel Ras (Schepen en Heemraad), Adr. Corn. Queldam (schepen en heemraad), Adriaan Baert (Schepen en Heemraad), Elbert Elias (Schepen en Heemraad), Hend. Adr. Daey (schepen en heemraad(, Iohan Baert (Penningmeester), H. Nanning Daey (Secretaris)..
The coats of arms are printed from different copper plates. The map was published with and without coats of arms.
The map is further decorated with in the top left the coat of arms of the county of Holland; on the top right the coat of arms of the Wieringerwaard, compass rose and scale cartouche.
The map was designed in 1611 by Adriaan Anthonisz (1527–1607). The coat of arms of the board of the polder suggest that this impression was published between 1741 and 1744.
