Description
Mostly engraved by Sir John Tenniel, Richard Doyle and Joseph Swain. Sir John Tenniel was one of the most important wood engravers of his time. Punch was responsible for the word sense "cartoon" as a comic drawing. This group became known as "The Punch Brotherhood" which also included Charles Dickens.
